Coronado Mayoral candidate, Richard Bailey, has accumulated over $50,000 in campaign contributions. Never in the history of Coronado has a candidate even come close to raising this much money.
It’s too bad that Mr. Bailey purchased his yard signs prior to knowing that he would have no competitor.
His current expenditures leave over $24,000 in his campaign chest. So, what should he do with it?
I can think of no better recipient of Bailey’s unneeded funds than the Coronado Schools Foundation. As all residents know, the Coronado Unified School District has been struggling financially for several years and COVID has only compounded its woes.
Of course, Bailey could have a big victory party instead.
